The Importance of Equal Legislative Representation
It doesn’t matter what kind government people are subjected to , the most important thing is to see that the interests of people are represented. It is very important that people are involved in how the authority in place runs their affairs. Equal participation is particularly stressed for the minority groups and different genders as well. With empathy and a wholesome view of the world every society will progress in an equitable manner. Today thanks to technology and factors like integration of cultures, people come up with ways of making their voices heard in more ways than the constitution has provided.
Equal representation of people in governance will reflect some benefits in the long run. The benefits are quite a number and not easily categorized. Every corner of the globe is working tirelessly for sustainable development in different areas of the citizens’ lives, for this to materialize the involvement of all stakeholders has to be there. Good conflict resolution is a characteristic of a community that has equal public representation in public affairs.
Development projects will register success when the people they are targeting are involved in conception to the implementation. Development projects that have not taken into account the views of people residing under a democracy will receive public opposition. The economic benefits of equal representations are enormous, picture decision making of some critical issues in society, early in the process it will be easier to make changes on decisions made compared to being forced to instate changes when its costly and time consuming.

Its not news therefore to come across organizations that are working to build support and grow their networks in effecting changes to have governance they envision. The organizations are very vocal and will even endorse their preferred candidates in the primaries and fund campaigns. Having won the primaries it will be easier to have success at the nationals. Since the voters are the people with the power to make the crucial decisions engaging with them on a regular basis is important.
